Delete your account
Google Play requires a public page that explains how to delete an account and what that removes. You can delete your Yum Eats account yourself in the app.
Delete in the app
- Open Yum Eats and sign in with the email on the account you want to delete.
- Go to Profile, then Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm the deletion when the app asks you to.
Deletion is processed in the app. You do not need to email us first if you can still sign in.
If you cannot open the app
Email hello@yumeats.app from the same address you used to register. Ask us to delete the account and include that email so we can find it. We will confirm when the deletion is complete.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, Yum Eats removes:
- Your Firebase Authentication account, including the email used to sign in
- Firestore data stored for your user, including pantry items, recipes, and shopping lists
- In-app preferences saved to that account
What may remain for a short time
- Backups or cached copies, which are cleared as part of normal rotation
- Support emails you already sent, if we still need them to finish a request
- Records we must keep for a legal, tax, or app-store obligation
We aim to finish deletion as soon as reasonably possible, and within 30 days. Store subscriptions billed by Apple or Google are not cancelled by deleting the app account. Cancel those in the App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
